Prominent from every direction this landmark building is a must see for visitors to Malaga. Located inside the original Arab walled city, the site was previously that of a Great Mosque. The transition to what we see today started back in 1487 when Malaga was conquered by Castilian troops and at that time the Aljama Mosque became Malaga Cathedral.
Cathedral tickets are available online and the price includes the audio tour (10 Languages), this brings the whole building to life.
If you're feeling up for climbing the stairs, make sure you select this option when booking your tickets. The view of the bell tower and the panoramic views available from the roof of both the Malaga city and port areas makes the climb worthwhile. Cultural visit – Malaga Cathedral (malagacatedral.com)
To visit both the Cathedral & Roof you will need to select entry times for each, our tip would be to allow 1.5 hours to complete a visit comfortably.
Like many attractions in Malaga, we recommend booking tickets in advance, the online price is the same as at the entrance door, where the queues can be long, and you may end up disappointed.
